Ordinarily youâd fancy Kilkenny in the second half with the hurricane behind them but I donât think they have the firepower of previous teams. Flimsy enough lead with that breeze, all things considered.

The peno should never have been given. KK should be down to 14.

Rule question. For our second point, fennelly was fouled inside the square, ref played advantage, 21 awarded a few seconds later. Should it not have been a penalty?

Bad miscalculation on his part. To be fair he probably had bigger fish to fry on the day of a big match than extending that fucking nonsensical ban, e.g. packing copious amounts of sunscreen for the half-acre, etc.

The ref threw the ball in at the start while Mark Fanning was still between his 45 and 21. Half the players at the Clonard end hadnât even got into position.
Had about ten middle aged brexiteer types watching it too. They seemed thoroughly engrossed.
