‘Projected’

That’s worked out well for them so far. Distracting people with noise on solar while they burn more and more coal.

And the quay floods every year and didn’t even flood. He is right about flood plains etc. I’m sure

The ESB is not fit for purpose.

This might sound dumb but why can they sell electricity if it only produces 20 percent? Why not use it all themselves?

Classic problem of the storage of electricity. They will have an excess as various times so be easier sell it than get batteries installed.

One of my best friends is working on a long lasting battery out in Australia actually. Think they are nearly ready to go.

Somewhat related in terms of state bodies being a joke, I’m working on a school project at the moment, small extension (a little over €2m) where there will be 3 toilets added to the overall plan. There is no new sewage line bing installed, just connection within the site to the existing network. That existing pipeline joins the main infrastructure drainage run on the main road outside the school. All straight forward stuff.

As part of planning, you have to inform Irish Water, or Uisce Eireann as they have rebranded. They have come back to say because of the new connections on site to the existing drainage, it will require a full upgrade to the main drain run on the main road (a major main road through a town) that would potentially cost about €1m. So to add 3 toilets to a school, will cost the school €1m in connection costs. Utterly, utterly ridiculous and the cost will cause the department of education to knock back the extension work and not go ahead because IW think they’ll get some chump to upgrade their shoddy mains line for free. How some clown in there thought that this makes sense i dont know

Those cushy middle management roles in the ESB don’t pay for themselves

Same all over.
There’s no sewers or not enough mains water available for new housing sites on land that’s ready to be developed.

Sounds like a problem for the government to sort out.

But can they?
