I agree with @TheUlteriorMotive sentiments, mate. They simply don’t know due to the complexities of the inputs required for their modelling (and indeed historical predictions not coming to pass using similar modelling) and to bandy about 5c type increases is alarmist, riling up simpletons like @Fitzy, etc.

There’s no doubt the “12 years to go” hysteria is just that, hysteria. Climate science is one of the most challenging fields, but there is little doubt that humans have contributed to the increase in greenhouse gases, although it’s a tiny increase compared to what non human activity produces. How the earth is responding to that increase is an entirely different issue, and beyond most of the morons who inhabit this site.

You don’t understand (or accept) that the problem is an increasing level of greenhouse gases over time, and more importantly an acceleration in the increase. There is literally nothing the EU or the US can do to impact the acceleration, as the factors driving said acceleration are outside those regions.
Until you accept that fact, no point talking about solutions.
