They use a lot of electricity in practice is what I’ve been told by people who have them. The only thing storing heat is your house.

There’s fellas here would have been saying “aren’t we grand with candles” when they were going around connecting up houses to electricity.

There was serious whinging from the Heat Pump fraternity back in Autumn as Electricity prices were creeping up.

The Oil burners are crying rivers now though :man_shrugging:

Cara Augustenborg who is on national climate advisory panel said this morning that she thinks the carbon tax increases that are due to come in in May should be deferred.

the carbon tax increases are €20 per annum according to 1 twitter account i am following

WTF?

They do. For A2W units for every 1 unit of electricity they use they give 2-3 units of heat. Geothermal would be up to 4-6 units for each unit of electricity.
