What's the best, and worst, you have ever felt after a sporting event?

best -munich 1958- always look on the runway for lights.

Heysel 1985 - 39 less spics in the world.

Phrased that badly. Both my best and worst would be club games but I don’t think people on this site care about South Tipp club games.

You’re right

Worst - same event previous year
agreed on the first, tipp in 87 and 93 were worse surely despite your home address that time
Worst:

 • 1999 Macedonia V Ireland. Seconds away from qualifying and we concede an injury time goal to send us into a play off. I was booked to go to Euro 2000 no matter what happened with Ireland but obviously was desperate to see us there. I just knew we wouldn’t win a play-off. That was our chance – was it Breen or Kilbane that didn’t mark his man??!!

keith oneill. cant have been that bad for you considering you couldn`t remember that

best : when Puke and SLR announced to the world that Loughnane was gone a few years back

Best: when the briar arrived on tfk

best: Beating cork in 06.
worst: tie between county finals minor in 95 (different division to piles) and u21 in 99. Dunnamaggin bastards

Worst : Ireland v Wales Croke Park March 2007.

Best : Croke Park All Ireland Final 2010 :pint:

I care mate.
@Fitzy, I’m glad you enjoyed Horeswood’s win over Starlights in the 89 Minor Final, didn’t realise you were a fan.

1990, how will I ever recover…

I had to point it out because ye hammered us in the 1990 semi final.

Worst has to losing to Armagh by a point in the 2002 All Ireland semi final when Ray Cosgrove’s free hit the post in the dying seconds of the game. Losing to Mayo in the 2006 All Ireland semi final when we were 10 points up at half time. :frowning: I suppose losing the world cup play off to the Henry hand ball was sickening, Especially actually being there. Best performance by us under Trap.

Plenty of bests, Ray Houghton scoring that goal against England in 1988, Beating Spain 1-0 in Lansdowne Road in a world cup qualifier in 1989. The 1990 world cup campaign. Beating Holland 1-0 in 2001, fantastic day watching that match on the big screen in Slane and then U2 coming on stage later. Dublin beating Kerry by a point in the 2011 All Ireland final.

Sorry, thought you were being all smart arsey, thought you might be a Starlights (cunts) cunt.

We did indeed, but I think you may have hammered us in 1989. There was a fair bit of history between both teams, not in the aggro sense, but a lot of respect had built up over the years between us. We had some epic games in juvenile if I remember rightly and Horeswood were the only team we were really concerned about playing. You had a brilliant team then.

I found the program from the 1990 final last year at home and brought it back to Aus, think I can find it now though? I’ll keep looking and scan a few pages if you want. I was a preipheral player in the panel at the time, the oldest, as I had gone to WRTC and missed a lot of training etc. But I came on as a sub in the second half of the final. We had an amazing team that year, a core of battle hardened lads and about 5 really talented, really fast, skillful juveniles in the team as well. Happy days.
