Where will you be spending Christmas Day?

Cooking gives you free reign to do whatever the fuck you want for the rest of the day too

Would any of ye tip away at the gargle on Christmas Day? I seem to be one of the few of my chums who have a good few. I’d go through a few beers and a couple of bottles of wine ovr the course of the day.

No. Hate drinking in the house.

I’ll be spending Christmas Day in Leitrim with 5 other adults, 3 of whom are over the age of 80. Still good craic though.

I’d tip away at the drink but never anything outrageous.

same as that. bit of wine with the dinner, a couple of bottles of beer* after in the evening depending how things were going

*not disclosing the beer for fear of distracting from the thread

Cork. 11 adults and a 3 month old… The other two adults and 4 kids are going to Dublin this year so its just the 11 of us… Turkey, ham and spiced beef… I’ve a bag of olives, hummus, chorizo, cheese, pesto, vine leaves, sundrieds and a nice loaf for crimbo eve…unreal… The cunts can’t play 45 tho so I’ve to make out a quiz.

Yeah I’d probably have the first beer around 2 bells and have 1 or 2 more and a number of glasses of wine over the course of the next 10 or 11 hours. It’s generally like bullets off Superman though with the amount of food I eat.

That’s the thing, you are eating so much during the day that you can drink away a decent amount without it having any real effect.

I rarely drink Christmas day… It’s solely a day of food for me… Might have a few G&T that night if my stomach allows it.

It will be mental. Inlaws from about 9. Down to the beach for the christmas swim at about 11. Thats great craic and half the town will be there. Back to the folks and I have been entrusted with the spuds. The whole family will be there, 15 adults and 4 kids. Can’t beat it.

As is tradition I will be inviting the owner of the winning TFKNFLFFL 1st Division Franchise and the League Commissioner to my place for Christmas dinner. I had been hoping @Fran would win the competition this year for his own sake, but Christ he’d be a bore at dinner.

The drinking side will be calm enough*. Myself and the good lady will have a good bottle of wine once the kids are down.

*I will start the day with a whisky though. Porridge, cream a shot of whisky and brown sugar. A christmas treat everyone should experience.

Not really, no.

If your cooking is anything like your home improvement skills I’ll be happy to give it a miss

I am going for a pacey 2 mile run on at some point on Christmas morning, probably around 11 or so.

Just to get away from the madness for 30 minutes and also to create a savage appetite for the dinner.

In a stable with Bayan. While there I intend to torture the bigoted and sectarian newly crowned champion. The Davy Condon mount will not be ‘idling’ after I have dealt with it…I’ll also be marking the day in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

I’m no sonia but 30 mins doesnt sound too pacey for a two mile jog. Will you have your favourite calf on your back or something?

Warm up, warm down, piss in the woods, puke break and the likes… will lightly end up in a 30 minute break form the chaos.

What sort of bullet will you have before that

at home bored out of my skull like most Christmases. Will probably be in bed for 10pm
