There is certainly a path for Ireland to make a World Cup final. I couldn’t see them winning it though. Capitulation in QF v NZ or in SF v Australia/England are most likely.

My points were outstanding and as well as my accurate assessment of the difficulties Ireland’s fixture schedule would pose, I also made reference to Australia likely having difficulties in the quarter-final, given their tough schedule.
It’s always nice to be vindicated.
