exciting player alright…but far too greedy and zero vison to be the greatest…he would shoot from anywhere especially when he got to Croke park with Waterford…Mcgrath was best for Waterford in my opinion…
Liam Simpson was the best player you ever saw? My hole. That, my friend, is a hipster / trying to be different selection.
A hurling hipster-a hupster.
Tommy Walsh through gritted teeth. That’s why I used the full stop. Mullane a bit through gritted teeth purely because he brought the "tuck the defenders arm into your armpit and hit the deck " style of chicanery to a whole new level. I absolutely hate it. Flynn was just a class act.
Good question Kid. He did enough damage to us anyway. Certainly one of the classiest.
JBM, loved watching him. Cregan, Seanie Mac, Ken McGrath, DJ and Shefflin of course. Leahy a flaking hurler as well.

John? He was a fucking timber merchant.
Brian Whelehan, just loved his reading of the game. Eoin kelly on his day as good a forward as I’ve seen. Cooney was class but Kevin broderick is my favourite Galway hurler.
My favourite Galway hurler was eanna Ryan , does broderick still play with his club ?
County level - Eoin Kelly (tipp) -04-06 he was unstoppable
Wayne Sherlock(cork)- always thought cork should have kept him for longer
John Troy- great hands
Ken McGrath -could play him anywhere
Pat Fox
Club level
MJ Ryan
Kevin Tucker
Brendan carroll
Which MJ Ryan ?
Ah Leahy was an awful prick but he was some hurler all the same
Change that to an is and I would agree with your point.
I never understood the Brian Whelehan love in, I always thought he was a decent, solid half back who made very little mistakes but that’s about it really.
Tony O Sullivan is definitely someone who stands out for me but I was very young still (12 maybe ) when he retired, others that would stand out would be Ciaran Carey, Pat Fox, Ben O’Connor, Dave Clarke, Adrian Fenlon (for skill) he gave an exhibition vs Cork in the drawn 2003 game,
For now tho ill go with Paul Flynn, even tho a simpleton and other things per watch the break he was consistently excellent in that Waterford team from the first time I saw him score 3 goals in the munster minor final vs Tipp in 1992
what are you on about?..leahy was class… dirty but a super player… Always remember his score against limerick when a limerick defender was coming out to drive the ball down field … he threw it up to hit it and leahy came in , shoulder to shoulder & flicked the ball and spun off the defender, rose the ball and stuck it over the bar…one of the most skill scores I ever saw…
Mullane or Eoin Kelly broke my heart enough times over the years and would be up there. Kelly beat us on his own one year, maybe 06, after we went 2-4 or something like that up, the cunt scored 16 or 17 points.
Ken McGrath was a joy to watch as well.
I’d probably go with Clem Smith tho.

To Clem!
I agree
still on their panel i think but doesnt start for them.
Funny how people just like certain types of players, id rate people with vision who did little flicks and intercepts such as whelehan, ollie canning and jj ahead of more swashbuckling players like tommy walsh or ken mcgrath, i love watching a defender cleaning a good forward no matter what ball comes in. Horses for courses.
JJ Delaney I had actually forgotten about. Was especially brilliant at wing back.
