I don’t plan for it to last long enough to be interrupted.
Seems an unnecessary risk to take, almost too convenient. You expect CM to buy an All Ireland ticket to fight you?
You’re gonna get loughgalled by choco
told you - it won’t last long. You’ve asked your questions, they weren’t very well thought out ones and you’ve got your answers, tough shit on your part.
Martyrdom has always settled well with me, what we do in life echoes in eternity.
Are you planning on taking a quick dive like Tiernan McCann?
Answer the question, are you expecting him to buy a ticket to fight you? Would it not be enough that he’s agreeing to come to Dublin to where you live to present himself for this fight? Surely you’re a fair man?
He asked me to name the time and place and I did that, nobody asked your for your opinion - very quick to get involved in other’s conflicts but you’d run a mile from your own shadow.
Tyrone Deserve Better
Tyrone are into the last four of the All Ireland series and yet the reaction to their win over Monaghan has been hysterical as usual. Then again what more can we expect. The pundits have had a field day calling the performance “mean spirited”. Some called for Tyrone to make an apology and Colm O Rourke said there was now a “smell following Tyrone from Minor, Under 21 to Senior”
Over the top or what. The comments are tired and insulting as always.
O Rourke went on to complain about Sean Cavanagh saying he ” dived” too often for his liking. He then added on the Sunday Game that someday “Cavanagh would cry wolf once too often and a referee would just wave on the play and not give him the free he deserved.”
I found that interesting. A pundit seeking to explore and find ” integrity” in the game but at the same time arguing it seems for a referee to “Turn a blind eye” when an offence is committed.
He went further saying the authorities in Croke Park need to step in and suspend players for bringing the game into “disrepute” In other words of the referee doesn’t get you then the authorities will. Stop Tyrone at all costs it appears. Perhaps Tyrone should just step aside and forfeit the game to Kerry who are paragons of virtue when it comes to the ” beautiful game”. A bit like Meath teams of the past.
Former Dublin star Ciaran Whelan says Tiernan McCann should apologise for his dramatic fall to the turf after Darren Hughes simply tousled his hair. What McCann did was wrong on every level. It was poor and incidents like that need to be stamped out. Having said that I don’t recall Ciaran calling for an apology from Cork earlier in the season when Michael Shields did the same in the first game with Kerry.
Both pundits vilified Tyrone at every level. Citing examples of how they have been involved in ” incidents” throughout the Championship. They cited the Minor game with Donegal. The Under 21 final win over Tipperary and then of course yesterday. They just threw out the allegations with no evidence to back it up.
It’s just too lazy if you ask me. If the antics of the likes of McCann and Shields is bringing the game ” into disrepute” then so too are their comments. I well remember Billy John Keane of Kerry kicking the ball away in last years final when Donegal were preparing for a kick out. Not a word about it on the Sunday Game.
In the recent past Ulster sides have been hung out to dry on too many occasions for it to be a coincidence. Armagh were pilloried back in 2002. Smart remarks made about individual players. Tyrone as well in 2003. “Puke Football” has stuck.
In 2005 Tyrone beat Kerry in the final and in the build up to the 2008 final again against Kerry, the game was labelled as the game to decide the best side of the decade. Tyrone won .Got the cup but not the accolade.
Joe Brolly again made a personal attack on both Sean Cavanagh and Colm Cavanagh saying both lay down for two minutes feigning injury. Sean Cavanagh was hit from behind by Paul Finlay and then punched in the face. Straight red card if you ask me . Colm Cavanagh was taken out by Darren Hughes after collecting the ball in defence. I don’t know if the player was shown a red card for that incident or for the “collapse” by McCann. Then again who knows after Saturday in a game laced with several inconsistent decisions by a referee who appeared to be out of control.
In his column Joe Brolly described it all as ” mean spirited”. He was right. The analysis was that and more.
And finally RTE have a case to answer as well. Are Tyrone being held up to ridicule because they won’t so operate with them?
All anyone can ask for is well thought out, fair and balanced analysis from pundits. The Sport didn’t get that at the weekend.
The again perhaps we should just rename the Sunday Game as the “Southern Game”. It might give us all a clearer picture for the future.
Great stuff from Logie.
I’m willing to host this fight in my back yard, it’s not far from Croke Park, and easily accessible with little chance of outside influence. I’d much prefer you both have the opportunity to fight to the death than for one to take the easy way out and put it somewhere the Gardai can break it up. Thisnisnyour chance to truly martyr yourself for Tyrone like you always dreamed of, don’t allow it pass you by simply by being stubborn because you picked an idiotic location. I’m doing this for you pal, don’t allow your emotions cloud your judgement here.
That’s Logan rolled out.
McMenamin next. Then Canavan, with maybe a Dinky McBride thrown in for the midweek lull.
“Logie”? As in Dungannon TV personality, Adrian Logan?
FFS sakessss.
Says a lot about Tyrone’s mentality. They’re willing to stoop to any level.
Kyle Coney (Noney) @kyleconey1 Aug 9
Winnings all that matters. I’d dive like Tom Daley if it was called for.!!
As opposed to the members of the Tyrone full back line who’d already be under Daly.
I’ll tell you this.
Tyrone are bigger than all the gutter tramps in RTE, in the free state media, worthless hacks like the simpleton non-entity of a transexual from Laois and the gonk headed thug with the rapist gloves from Dublin. We’ve got more pride and integrity in our little finger than they could ever muster in a whole lifetime.
Stage 10 rattled.
Is Coney the fella who pulled off the panel earlier this year? Surely if winning meant that much to him he’d have stayed on and done his bit for the ‘cause’?
He’s also the chap that signed a contract with the Sydney Swans and then changed his mind.
Is that Tyrone player a gay homosexual ?
A master class in whataboutery there. Failing to acknowledge why the Sunday Game panel were so critical of Tyrone’s antics and completely ignoring their players disgusting behaviour on Saturday.
Tyrone obviously don’t do self-analysis, always someone else’s fault. They are a pox on the game.
