Why is Rugby So Annoying?

Hurlings getting that way too with all the rucks and spare arm grabbing :-))

I agree in general.

  1. I don’t look for money for my comments
  2. I played the game, some of them never did.
  3. From reading some of the material it seems they regurgitate some of the analysis from TV, a lot of which is mates of say Munster or Leinster rugby players commenting on games. They are pretty soft in analysis.
  4. I look at sport from a different perspective a lot of the time.

Rugby World Cup the most anticipated sports event in 2015? No sign of the Waterford Crystal Cup.

Some amount of scarf-wearing, macchiato drinkers being asked about sports-ball in this poll I’d say…

and women. Women “regard” rugby as their favourite sport a lot.

A year since Rocko wrote this originally. Still reads very well

a masterpiece that will stand the test of time…

What a thread - If you could only bottle the anger here it would make an ideal christmas drink when the jumper crowd are in full swing.

Some people prefer the tribalism of association football. Crowding together with other yobbish men and hurling the type of abuse you’d never do in person. I guess as adults they don’t enjoy being marched down to the game with police on horseback, like children on a school tour with their teacher, just so they won’t get stabbed. The fact that Republic of Ireland fans are given plaudits and awards for not being violent thugs and have fun with local fans says a lot about the of the sport. Obviously not that appealing for women.

Fair play to rugby for whetting women’s appetite for sport. The GAA does this to an extent as well, but will always be bogged down in the backwards conservative triumvirate

What sport did rugby turn women onto, mate?

Murray Kinsella on score.ie is the best rugby pundit around. By some distance.

Women’s rugby and yoga pants

Not really a great combination

Much like championship hurling.

Still lifting stuff from here, living the dream as a journalist.

Substitute “phenomenal” for “savage”
