Not at all. Fair play to the players and management. Iā€™m more lamenting the complete lack of any perspective in this country. I am also of the view that the time to peak is next year and everything must be measured based on World Cup performance.

The timing of this series favoured New Zealand, not Ireland.

Irelandā€™s previous wins over New Zealand were in November. Some people tried to write them off by claiming New Zealand were tired after a long season whereas Ireland were fresh.

New Zealand had every advantage in this series.
