Whilst @Gman[/USER] and [USER=110]@Fran attempt to subvert my posts with their childish attempts to ask me “to watch my spelling” I will address this serious issue.
The Segunda was founded for the a number of NFL aficionados who were too late coming to TFK to be included in the so called “Primera”, these men along with a band of novices embarked on the first season of the “Segunda”. Since then the “Segunda” has gone from strength to strength with the “Primera” stagnating with the loss of storied franchise such as ReaganBush84 who were too proud to take their place in the Segunda which they viewed, for some strange reason, as a lesser league.
Recent Events have shown that the Segunda is a lesser league in name only. The shenanigans that have occurred in the Primera are a blight on the proud name of TFKNFLFF. That 2 founding members of that league could stoop so low as to fix a game is astounding. There is no place in either league for such actions. If @Gman was a stronger Commissioner he would discipline these GMs, IF.
The Segunda has been mentioned in tandem with the USFL, we are more akin to the AFL before the merger, a more exciting league with a number of fantastic Franshices (SECO, VPDC, LJOP) and some to make up the numbers (Gravy bombs). Like the AFL we have some hard decisions ahead
We have reached a crossroads, one which will define TFKNFLFF for the foreseeable future, should the affiliation between the 2 leagues cease? Perhaps yes, perhaps we, like the AFL and NFL before, merge into a larger better league and in doing so remove the gangrenous faction which threatens the good name of TFKNFLFF. If not we can prudly plopugh our own furrow having never been tainted with heinous accusations as match fixing.

You can tell @Rocko - who has form for cheating if you remember last year- that he, nor anyone else, has to bother cheating anymore as there will be no relegation this year, or any other year, as there is no longer a second division to be relgated to. As of 18:12 10/11/14 - We go alone.

The segunda is second in name only as count has outlined beautifully above. We were second here, thats all. But that in itself speaks to a deeper issue on this forum, one that has been lurking like a malignant growth.
Ever since cahill donned the plug pulling cloak and ended his forum that had long since cleared the shark, and since new migrants landed on these eshores, a storm has been brewing.
It is understandable, even forgivable that more established posters might feel threatened by the arrival of a cohort of eloquent roasters, adept at debate and forceful in our opinions on the fine arts of hurling and gridiron. But we could have gone elsewhere, we could have gone to boards or that god awful clarehurlers where blandness and mediocrity are not just tolerated but lead to adminstratorial promotion! But we didn’t, we came here, we arent just like the first posters here, we ARE you.
But no longer will we sit back and receive nazi like levels of abuse, we took our hazing. Our leagues are equal, i pity the posters who declined a position in our glorious segunda. Just look at @Mac, a year in the segunda has done for him the equivalent of a lifetime of behavioural therapy. He’s now lucid, humourous and has become a father, all thanks to the segunda.
I propose the following. Let all 24 teams be drawn equally next season into two leagues, and the top six in each form a real primera the year after. I have often stated i would never leave the segunda if promoted. My loyalty to my principles have led to me subconsciously draft and manage my team atrociously over the past few years, but the thought of a new beginning, one which would also unite the forum forever, would surely be a prospect to savour?
