It was average enough tbh. The embassy needs to do better with their next gift
6 bottles of Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva 50€ in SuperValu with the rewards card. That’s a bargain in any man’s language even if @flattythehurdler would categorise it as a “Tombola” wine.
The reserva may be nice.
It’s lovely. I had a glass of it earlier
Did it come in earthenware bottles ?
It’s apparently the original home of wine. I’ve had some before and didn’t like it - ones I had were too sweet
Yer man Fred from first dates on the telly has a wine range in
M&S. they aren’t cheap for M&s. I bought this as I sort of know what a nice rioja is like so wanted to sense check it . It’s 23.50. It tastes like a wine 3 or 4 times the price
One from winespark.
Mencía blend. I’ve not had Mencía before I don’t think.
Sold sort of as a Spanish Burgundy alternative.
I’m a bit of a wineix but the 19 Crimes Uprising is lovely. Finished in rum barrels
Anyone got a decent suggestion for a case or two of red wine for Xmas? Talking 25-35 quid range. Decent sort of Shiraz, cab sav, merlot?
Am cooking for 12 this Xmas and I intend to ensure the chef is well oiled.
2018 or 2020 CDP
Will grab a sample bottle from SuperValu tomorrow.
Just realised I’ve had that and it is indeed good tack.
Chhharge.
They’ve one for 20 in Lidl currently also.
Herself picked up a few bottles of that on the sale last week. Great value to be fair given a bog standard bottle is a tenner now.
You’ll be able to buy pint bottles of wine in the UK #brexitdividend
They’re keeping metric.
Kevin Hollinrake, the minister for enterprise, markets and small business, said, apparently seriously, that “our exit from the EU was all about moments just like this, where we can seize new opportunities and provide a real boost to our great British wineries and further growing the economy.
“Innovation, freedom and choice – that’s what today’s announcement gives to producers and consumers alike.”
