With rent increasing is now the time to buy a 2nd property from the bank

Under resourced is a joke. Ireland Inc is afloat on a sea of money. Manchester is a grim northern city in a country bankrupt and fcuked beyond belief, but they’ve managed it.

Can you imagine the view you have from high up. And it’s an absolute stunning building.

There was a planning permission in Dublin which got overturned on a judicial review based on daylight hours. It had the same daylight hours that the Henry J Lyons building had which was shortlisted for Architect of the Year had!!!

2 judges deciding on planning ??? Fucking delaying everything !!!

Oh and not SF fault….a policy brought in by FG.

ok mate

sorry i pointed out your idea was shit, didnt realise you took criticism so badly - how msny dwellings per hectare on the councils estates you are planning mate?

We are still shackled to century-old planning standards introduced by Lloyd George – The Irish Times

What kind of a house do you live in?

High rise all the way for me btw. Up up and away

i live in a house appropriate for the size of my family, when my kids grow up ill be changing to a dwelling appropriate for that situation too

The saddle is slipping off the horses back alright

So you live in the low density housing you don’t want others to have? Interesting

my elderly neighbours would like step down housing but there they were never built because people like you only want 3 bed semi ds to be built

Never said that mate. I don’t care what type of housing is built so long as it’s built. You are the one in your low density housing wanting the ladder pulled up after you so no one else can have the same. :joy: Classic Nimby

Dublin City Council are requesting 1 bed apartments to move elderly folk out of 3 bed houses and deal with homelessness.

A large development on Sean McDermott st which would have built a hotel, an apartment complex and a monument to the victims of the Magdalene Laundry’s was cut. DCC land, all looked okay but Gannon from the Social Democrats was most vocal against the development. Then the rest climbed on.

Now it’s still a shit hole of a rotting building with no hotel, no monument, no housing, nothing.

There are no decent Politicians left.

Charlie Haughey got things done! Albert Reynolds got things done. Bertie got things done.

There is no one in Government from FF or FG with balls to get things done.

SF will get one chance.

Perhaps for our young people it’ll be a last chance.

“We need to go back to mass council estates.Design a house that is pure simplicity to build but does the job. Straight lines everywhere, make the bones of them in a factory and ship it on site.”

what exactly are you proposing here?

Poor people should be put in prefabs so they aren’t clogging up real houses for everyone else.

Building houses

Turkish lads are being put in prefabs in sites at the moment.

Only current homeowners should be allowed low density housing. The rest can fuck off into a tower block

you say that like high density is a bad thing mate

There can only be one development in Irish history which can be described as Tower Blocks. It was a disaster. However there were lots of broken promises regarding services which probably led to these problems.

These problems were replicated in areas with no high rise but lots and lots of 3 bed semi’s like Tallaght and Clondalkin which were similarly ignored.

It was often stated that Tallaght had a bigger population than Limerick but didn’t have a hospital. Limerick probably needed one being stab city. Thankfully Tallaght has changed. It has one of the best A&E units for children.

High rise isn’t the issue. Social houses on social lands isn’t the issue.
