In the latter stages of the championship you always meet fucking apes you know haven’t a clue. My bird went to more championship matches last year than most of the experts on here.
Kids under 5 or 6 should definately be banned. However after the age of about 10 it should be compulsory for any GAA man to bring his kids to all games and saddle them with the pleasure/burden of supporting their county.
This is so very sad Bandage. For a man of your one time great status to end up with this under your name, and in your own front yard too, is a very depressing decline of Irish manhood.
Regardless of Bandage’s current state, the fact remains that ye would all bring women along if ye could, and there are only two reasons why you don’t.
i. No lady worth seeing in daylight would be seen with you
and
ii. Ye are afraid of crying in front of her.
Number two I believe is very pertinent considering the chosen events and sides the scribes above me here are more likely to associate with; Wexford, Celtic, Limerick, Clare, and my heart goes out to them, Dublin.
Clearly feeling threatened by women, and their interest/knowledge in sport. A woman who was into a sport, and followed it as much as a man, has as much chance of being knowledgeable as anyone. This is of course provided she isn’t a complete idiot, but as already pointed out, there is men equally retarded at games.
Of course the other aspect to this is, sport, and particulary professional and high level sport of any sort, is there in a great way for entertainment. So i have no problem with bandwagoners, women, idiots etc coming to have a day out, its as much their right as any “hardcore” fans.
I’ve gone to the races, the opera, airshows, plays, concerts etc etc. I would know little or nothing about a few of them, or their intricities. Doesn’t mean i didn’t have a dam good time.
May is almost a little early for Pimms but yes it will be one of those jaunts. Are you coming over?
I hear talk of a trip to Wimbledon* by the TFK Coursing Supporters Club? I’d say in a year or two this most active of clubs will be granted an entitlement from the ICC to run a trial stake.
As long as they’re not asking stupid questions who gives a shit. Birds are very handy for sending to the shop at/before half time to get a bar of choclate and a bag of tayto.
excellent point well made SS**
i would express the same opinion with wimbledon and Rolland Garros that i shall be attending in May.
Royal Ascot where i am headed to for a stag in june as well is a similar location that atracts hot birds. i personally couldnt give a toss if they are interested in the racing or tennis, most women do not go for that, they know their place and in most cases dress appropriately
i guess for say an event like wimbledon where the sporting action is taking place over 2 weeks and sometimes 9 hour days the good looking birds can provide momentary distraction when required.
for say a football match maybe this is not what one goes there for as the action is condensed into a 2 hour period.
