Women who like and attend sporting events

The runt is seething

In what way.

Surely a bird that’ll want to watch the sport instead of cornation street is to be sought after???

Now I realise that most of the opinions on here are coming from lads that have never touched a real live woman but still its pretty bizarre.

Indeed.

Normally such a placid character he seems to have taken my comment personally.

No offence was meant Runt.

Others would say there is no correlation whatsoever.

They’d be right too.

No I agree. Just pointing out if the tables are turned.
Sport is for men-Greys anatomy, shoes etc is for Birds, is what lads are getting at here I’d say.

I have touched a woman before-granted it was in the process of getting the change back at the till.

There are the practical positives to it I accept, that your bird is interested in something that you are so that is naturally a good thing.

But a bird conversing with you about the severity of a tackle or the merits of a good full back is a bit too manly for by liking.

I don’t think that is too outlandish of a statement at all.

no better at all alright mac. there certainly are some weirdos out there.

A deal breaker for me would be a woman who reads chick lit, watches Fair City or reads horoscopes. If she has an interest in high culture like hurling, opera, bull fighting, literature etc. she has a sporting chance of casting a spell on me, in which case she would be a very lucky lady indeed and in for the time of her life.

I’ll take a woman who watches soccer, GAA and rugby over one that wants to watch shite like Home & Away, Fair City and Big Borther any day of the week thank you very much *

  • looks being equal of course.

Ah Jesus Farmer were not talking bout her being a panelist on the Sunday Game. A general understanding and an interest in something that I’d spend a large amount of my time watching, is surely a good thing.

No argument there, I believe I said something fairly similar enough though I would consider only hurling to be of cultural value, not gaelic football, rugby or cornerboy ball.

They love the Big Brother so dey do.

Here lads I just thought, Maire is a bird that knows a fair bit about Sport so in essence we are in fact discussing her

WTF?

Give them to a brother or a male neighbour and let him take them to the game.

Seriously though - hard to know who’s being serious and who’s on the wind up in this thread but I’d be in Julio and Runts scenario myself. At least having a bird who has an interest in sport means that you don’t have to spend time talking about Peter Andre and Jordan and all that shite.

Slightly related but there’s a lad I know at home who’s getting married this summer. The couples first date was the day of the 3 Wexford games in Croke Park in 2008. Have met her a few times and she’s a good looking girl and has probably forgotten more about sport than half the lads on here will ever know.

thinly veiled " my bird is a munter"

Girls are toys. Nothing more.

Lock this thread.

she wouldnt be into sports- thats the point

Thinly veiled I’m not allowed go to the matches anymore

Well said Tinnion.
