The other word was porge.
For some reason I didn’t consider the same letter being used twice so ignored the answer until forced into it.

Never heard of it. I was chancing anything on second last line to get the remaining letter. You don’t lose a go if what you put in is not a valid word.

Well, having so many right letters, but in all the wrong places it turned into a more mathematical or logical type puzzle. That suits my brain type better.
Oh yea, and a good guess helped.
