I want to believe Bolt is clean and, to be fair, he has been the best in the world since his early teens. But to think that a country of 2.5m or so people could provide 5 of the 10 fastest men in the world is laughable.
Would you say the same of Kenya in relation to Steeple Chasing?
Itâs actually not. Alot of the Canadian and American sprinters of the last 30 years are of Caribbean extraction. They are built for it. Itâs just they are better prepared and holding into their sprinters more than they used to.
Yes they are taking drugs, but that has been the way for a very long time. They are still the best. Without drugs I doubt the positions would change that much at all.
You can certainly put it down to genetics alright, bro but Kenya has a population of around 40 or 50 million. Ratio wise, Jamaica are producing a serious amount of world class sprinters in the last few years. 10 of their total of 17 gold medals have come in the last 2 Olympic Games-fair play to them for getting such a good programme together I suppose.
Why? maybe they have a genetic predisposition to it?
Or train differently than eveyone else or simply train more than everyone else.
Track doesnt have global appeal, there could well be quicker people who dont train for the Olympics or world championships e.g plenty of american football WRs have elite pace but dont train like sprinters as the type of stride doesnt suit the game.
Im playing devils advocate somewhatâŚ
Linford Christie was also Jamaican, yes he doped, but he had natural ability too.
Itâs too easy to say these days, oh heâs juiced to the eyeballs without knowing anything about it.
I could well be wrong but fuck it, itâs better than the lazy way out.
Re Bolt the one reason i believe he is clean is his build compared to the rest of the weightlifters out there, he is gangly and packed with lean muscle. he has been at the top all his life, and has broken records all his life so why not? i could be very naive in all this but fuck it, i still want to believe in some sports men.
Theyâre better than the ones you put up.

Same as that-if he was built like Gay or Gatlin, then it would be harder to believe but I do believe in Bolt. The rest of your post Iâm not so sure of-as I said earlier, genetics can explain some of it but Iâm not so sure.
Also, using a doper to back up your point-donât be such a silly count.
Most of the Kenyan medallists come from a couple of tribes around Eldoret so you canât really compare using population.
True-however, a number of Kenyans have not been caught doping whereas the same canât be said for Jamaican sprinters.
a number of kenyans have not been caught? so they are doing it?
Simple fact is Kenya does not have the resources to catch the culpritsâŚ
Re Linford Christie, i ve looked into his backgroundâŚif ever there was a doper it was himâŚ
âshowed not natural abilityâ
âtook it up seriously at 19â
âsurprise winner of european championshipsâ
âdidnt make Team GB in 84â
mea culpa

That proves nothing Count. Ben Johnson didnât look like a potential star till about his 3rd full year training. Starting late just means peaking late. There had to be a good chunk of talent there regardless.
Also people often phrase things due to political/alternative motives.

Yes I worded that poorly alright-the Kenyans are not doping, they just practice by having an Irish priest run after them.
I may have had these in the holsterâŚ
yeah, id say you can imagine it all the same
some potbellied priest chasing a few young lads around the bush with his lad in his hand
What sickens me is how the TV reporters gloss over the drug cheats and cheer on the likes of Christina Ahourorogoo*
*sheâs unworthy of me bothering to check the spelling of her name
Agreed. Especially Gatlin who has been caught twice
Rob Heffernan is currently leading the 50km funny walk in Russia.
Fucking great news, always struck me as a thoroughly alright sort even if he is involved in a ridiculous âsportâ.
âThe little Irishman from the emeraaaaaaaaalld isleâ
Christ.
Heâs just been overtaken by a Russian. The fact that heâs Russian doesnât bide well as I suspect he could run and get away with it being in his military home
