Belgium. Switzerland and Colombia top seeds while Italy and Holland are fourth seeds.
Pots 2. 3 and 4 are arranged geographically. France are the spare European team.

a new low
at least lets get a group prediction thread going, this is embarrassing
Mate, we always keep draw predictions on a separate thread from the draw itself. It’s how we roll.
Ya but is there much difference between groups 1 & 4? There is always 2 strong teams per group anyway. Can’t see why anyone would be that bothered about it.
They say there’s a heavy bias towards results of conpetitive matches, but Switzerland attained their ranking in large part due to results in friendlies, while Holland got 28 points out of a possible 30 in qualifying and still aren’t seeded.
I find it all quite baffling to be honest. Ireland moved up in the seedings for the next European qualifiers off the back of a poor qualifying campaign, while Uruguay only finished fifth in qualifying and are seeded first for the World Cup.

A detailed analysis of the WC2014 schedule shows that nobody wants to be Brazil’s opponent in the opening game on Thu 12 June in Sao Paulo.

After the opening game vs Brazil this team has to fly 3,880 km to Manaus for game 2 before a 4,508 km flight to Recife for game 3. Crazy.

Hey look, a Dutch guy is amazed that some countries are bigger than the postage stamp sized country he comes from.
His distances are off btw.
