World Cup 2014 Draw

What time of day are the fixture slots in Irish time?

Look at the possible permutations there from Sidneyā€™s post. Magnificent draw for Argentina, easy group and looks like they will avoid any of the big guns until the semis. If Argentina canā€™t win this World Cup or at least make the final then Messi is rightly going to have some big questions asked of him.

Itā€™s also imperative that Italy top their group, otherwise they will conceivably have to face England (group), Uruguay (group), Colombia (2nd rnd), Brazil (qtr), Germany(semi) and Spain (or) Argentina (final) in order to win the World Cup. I really canā€™t see that happening.

The upside of topping the group would be an easier draw in round 2 but they would then have to face Spain in the quarters, Argentina in the semi and Colombia in the final. I believe that the finishing second in the group would mean that getting through every round would be a war of attrition with extra time and the lottery of penalties to progress and with each battle that you get through you are more fatigued and depleted.

This is what cost us in the Euros having gone to ET with England followed by a game at a very high tempo against Germany a few days after and the final following that just 3 days later. We went in with Chiellini, Abate, Motta, Balotelli, De Rossi and Cassano all struggling. This is why it is vital Prandelli picks the right squad - especially the blend in attack. If we have players like Cassano, Totti, Insinge and Cerci then we can afford to rest Balotelli and Rossi during the competition. If we have Verratti in the squad then we can get him to cover for Pirlo throughout.

I like Thiago Motta but I donā€™t think at his age and susceptibility to injury he has it in him to perform in the midfield.

Their Brazilian parent company is one of the biggest meat processors in the world. They kindly invited me to the England-USA game in the 2010 World Cup (dry run for their 2014 corporate plans) but I had other commitments. Happy to take any questions on the wider Agri-Food industry.

i was referring more to the animosity between brazil and Argentinaā€¦

Moy Park supply 25% of all European chicken.

How much of this is disgusting battery caged chicken imported from Brazil which is then labeled ā€˜produced in Irelandā€™?

Moy Park is a good news Irish story, Ebeneezer. Letā€™s not rock the boat here, please.

Fairly hardcore riot in the game between Vasco da Gama and AtlƩtico Paranaense earlier.

Some poor cunt getting his head stamped on and smacked into the concrete around 1:55 into the video:
