Roney. PICK IT OUT.
Rooney gives England the lead with a deflected drive. Brazil look tactically awful.
I shudder to think what Traps Ireland would do to this Brazilian side.
Paulinho with a great finish.
Another great goal, what technique.
Neymar has been really poor tonight.
Dont believe the hype.
Over the last few days I read about 10 articles saying he’s gone to shite recently and about 1 saying he’s a superstar. Next Robinho by the looks of things. I remember the Observer Sport Monthly did a big piece on Robinho before he left Brazil. I’d love to read it again.

Just checked the odds this morning out of curiosity after the Confederations Cup. Brazil, Argentina and Gremany are all priced at shorter odds than Spain which I still find quite surprising. Belgium are fourth favouries.
Bizarre, has to be an error . Belgium are ahead of Spain? Put up the odds there.
Should we believe the hype now?
Yes and add some to it.
My mistake, Belgium are actually 5th at 16/1.
I find it ridiculous that Belgium are priced shorter than the likes of Italy and Colombia.

Well you know what to do if you think the bookies have made a mistake. Wipe their eye.
African play-off draw:
Ivory Coast v Senegal
Ethiopia v Nigeria
Tunisia v Cameroon
Ghana v Egypt
Burkina Faso v Algeria
The first legs of the ties will played between 11 and 15 October, with the return legs taking place between 15-19 November.
Ghana v Egypt the stand-out tie there.
Tunisia were let back in after the Cape Verde Islands were thrown out for fielding an ineligible player. Typical African naivety.
Having seen Belgium for the first real time in action during qualifying I have to admit they are going to be a formidable force next summer. However… their style of football would make even Tony Pulis, David Moyes and Sam Allardyce blush, they play with four big imposing centre backs flat out across the back who do not make any forward movements throughout the game. They then protect their defence with two midfield destroyers who focus on outpowering the opposition midfield. Defour, Hazard and De Bruyne are the three players who seems to be able to play a bit but they flit in and out of the game and don’t really impose themselves on it other than playing a quick pass on the counter. Up front they will go with a physically imposing monster in the form of Benteke or Lukaku who will focus on sprinting past (or through) the opposition defence.
They are going to be hard to stop. Their defensive shape is going to be very solid as they play quite deep and have 6 imposing players who will keep a very rigid shape behind the ball at all times. Teams like Colombia, Chile and Brazil are the best equipped to give them problems with their high tempo style of football and searing pace they possess. I think Belgium will bully every other European side into submission.
Holland 2-0 Hungary (Strootman 25)
Hungarian defence must be very one paced
Chicarito just missed a peno against Panama in the Azteca. Probably the worst penalty I’ve ever seen. Straight at the keeper with no power nor pace.
Mex 1-0 up, but look vulnerable to an equaliser.
This current Mexican team is very odd, one of the most talented bunch they’ve ever had, yet completely impotent as a team.
