World Cup 2022 Qualifiers

Great draw for us.

I’m not seeing the great draw thing lads

I’d say there are lads sitting at home in Baku and Luxembourg thinking, that’s about as good a draw as we could have got. Two nil nils against the Irish and we could have a go at the flaky Serbs.

@Piles_Hussain is licking his chops I’d say.

Are we the only 5 team group?

No

We’re completely fucked. Serbia are one of the worst Pot 2 teams we could have got. They completely outplayed us last time. Portugal are the raining champions.

Has Ronaldo ever scored against Ireland before? He’s about to now.

It never rains but it pours.

Relax they have loads of lads who could score against us

Portugal aren’t the champions

The scotch beat Serbia recently

Shane Duffy will have Ronaldo in his arse pocket

It was a misconceived post on many levels.

We need Duffy away from Celtic, its poison up there.

Luxembourg portugal and serbia were in the same group for euro 2020 qualifying
Whilst Luxembourg only finished with 4 points their performances - especially in belgrade are noteworthy
the ukranians needed a 93rd minute OG to beat them also…
so no… everybody most certainly will not take points off them
this isnt the qualifiers for Italia 90 FFS

A dream draw for us.

sort your formatting you absolute mess

Yer man Rodrigues up front for them is Brazilian. per wiki he was with dynamo kiev last year and is now with Ankaragücü in the turkish superlig and has 5 goals this season… we have james collins and adam idah.
Lads need some persepctive here - us and Luxembourg are headed in radically opposite directions at this present time… we are rebuilding but we have yet to hit the low point of that curve

In the 2006 qualifiers Luxembourg lost twice to Liechtenstein so it’s fair to say they’ve made decent progress since. Must have had a Ruud Dokter type turning it around

now azerbaijan
there is a 1-1 draw at home to croatia in there- and one big defeat 5-1 at slovakia but there is a very georgia look to the thing…
The squad is basically the Qarabag team who are no mugs in the europa league and are seriously disadvantaged this year as they have to play their home games in Istanbul

we are as likely to finish in the bottom 2 of this group as we are to finish second
it is predictabe tho and i would have no mass in things changing by march
we will finish third

portugal
0-3 away , 0-2 home
serbia
0-0 home ( at an absolute stretch) , 0-2 away
azeri
1-0 home , 0-1 away
Lux
2 ( yes two) -0 home , 2 ( yes two)-1 away

ill have us finish on 10 points
Portugal will have 24, serbia …16-18…pending dropping points in an empty aviva in march - more than likely they will win 3-0
