Hughes is badly rattled
Now a 117 out shot with Yozza waiting on 40.
Unreal.
I think back to major sporting competitions of the past where the ultimate winner survived by the width of a cigarette paper in an early round.
Italy at the 1982 World Cup.
Down in the 1991 All-Ireland football championship.
Australia in the 1991 Rugby World Cup.
Clare in the 1995 All-Ireland hurling championship.
Liverpool in the 2004/05 Champions League.
Kerry in the 2009 All-Ireland football championship.
The Baltimore Ravens in the 2012-13 NFL playoffs.
Portugal in Euro 2016.
Duzza really should have gone out against Paul Hogan. But he got lucky. And when a class act gets a lucky break, they usually capitalise on it. Duzza may well be about to join the above list of eventual winners who sailed perilously close to an early exit, but somehow avoided it and capitalised in dramatic fashion.
4-0 Duzza!
4-0 holy god
I know Jamie won that leg, but he laid up after getting the two treble 20s on a 170 rather than going for the bull.
Given that heās 4-0 down, I really would have gone for it even though it even he didnāt have to.
A 170 might have kickstarted him into life in the way a normal leg victory probably wonāt.
I havenāt forgotten about Glenn Moody, Paul.
At least he would have taken some of durrants prize money
And Darryl Fittonās.
I was going to say that going single 2 double 4 instead of going straight for double 5 was an indicator of Jamieās lack of confidence, but he eventually takes out double 2 and has a set on the board.
Heās throwing first in this set now - itās certainly a case of taking it set by set for him at this stage.
1-1 in the sixth set and Jamie has the throw. He really needs to win this set to make Duzza nervous.
I was thinking the same, it was pub league stuff to be fair
Jamie has certainly upped his game over the last 10 minutes or so and looks a lot more confident.
Averaging over 98, now.
Deciding leg here.
3 missed darts at the double for Yozza!
Its very hard to keep up darts like durrant was playing early on for 7 sets
He gets another chance and fucks up again!
5-1!
Huge miss from hughes there, hard to see a way back now.
Difficult to see Jamie come back from here, although you never know at Lakeside.
117 checkout from Glen in the first leg of this set.
