Nearly there
Weâre very much in the latter stages of this Super Saturday triple bill now, and the players are still getting the very best of order from the knowledgeable Lakeside audience.
Duzza so close a 147 there. Just missed the final red.
But he takes the leg and is just one away from victory.
Game, shot, and the match! Glen Durrant!
England v Holland.
Middlesbrough v Heerenveen.
Glen Durrant v Dan Noppert.
A pleasing symmetry to tomorrowâs Super Sunday final clash.
Hughes was shockingly poor when he left the 20âs, poor finishing, poor cover shots, poor doubles. Looked like he had no confidence at all. Maybe he just hates playing durrant.
Glenâs dire performance in the first four sets and subsequent miraculous escape against the Crocodile Dundee looks to have been a blessing in disguise for him.
Itâs well documented that he puts huge pressure on himself, but that Houdini act looks to have taken both the pressure and the shackles off him and he has relaxed over the last two matches and appears to be playing with a lot more freedom.
Iâm not sure if Jamie ever really believed he could beat him tonight - although he should have done after beating Wolfie - but belief is your starting point if you want to reach a world championship final.
Jamie has lots to work on. Lots, if he wants to reach the heady hights of the BDO.
Thatâs a lovely gesture from Jamie, saying that heâs there to help Glen practice tomorrow if he needs him.
He really does have a tremendously lilting, musical Black Countraaay accent.
Two class acts. Iâm crying my eyes out after listening to Jamieâs interview.
Just watching the re-run of the ladiesâ final on BT here. Corrine Hammond would be a fine looking lady if she lost a couple of stone.
Lancashire lass with the horny lookin daughter, lisa?.
Lisa Ashton is our ladiesâ champion for this year after she beat Corrine 3-0.
Another brilliant ladiesâ tournament and all credit to the BDO for making it possible.
Thats the one. Was that her first?
No sheâs won it at least twice before. '14 and '15 at any rate. Beat Fallon Sherrock in the final two years ago.
Were you chaps not reading this thread this afternoon?
I was live posting the womenâs final earlier.
Lisa has three titles and it was her third victory in four years.
No pal i have a life
I dread to think of a life without watching the womenâs final live.
FAO of all darts fans:
Just a heads up, chaps, that the big one tomorrow throws in at 4:45pm, rather than the traditional 6pm start.
Thereâs no other decent sport on television at that time so no excuses for being distracted.
Just to recap: The final starts at 4:45pm British and Irish winter time (16:45 hours).
BT Sport coverage begins at 4:00 with Channel 4 on air from 4:15.
