Some cracking first round encounters really showing the strength of the PDC. Tie of the round for me is Adrian Lewis v John Part. Also a potential tasty Taylor v Nicholson second round clash. Canât wait for the action to begin.
Some great matches,as you said Jimmy shows the strenght in depth of the PDC. Witlock and Jenkins is the one that catches my eye. Good to see the cappamore man in it again, hopefully he plays a bit better than last year, as he has potential. Have tickets for the 1/4s and semis looking forward to it.
Two teams.
You start off with your three darts, you have to hit the bull or 25 to gain âpossessionâ of the ball, once you have the ball hitting a double or treble gets you a âgoalâ.
The opposition then have to hit the bull to win the ball back, once they have it back they can score. First to 5 wins.
Iâll go with OâConnor to realise his potential and win it for Ireland, thus lifting us out of the recession. Whoever wins it, it promises to be a great tournament.
Great win for Phil Taylor in the Pro tour event at the Citywest yesterday. Phil beat 2006 BDO World Master Champion Michael Van Gerwen by 6 legs to 3. Van Gerwen who became BDO World Master champion in 2006 by beating BDO stalwart Martin âWolfieâ Adams in the final has really struggled with the step up since joining the PDC. Hopefully this final appearance will bring a return to form for Van Gerwen.
Jimmy, do you think Van Gerwen will return to the bdo at some point to recapture his form and get confidence from drubbing the minnows there? He has found the step up to the PDC a step too far.
