Wrongs perpetrated by the British Army (the original title was buggering me)

I didn’t fail badly. Intelligent people got it, you didn’t - deal with it.

Intervened. But they chose to wash their hands off it. They have blood on their hands with The Troubles.

They had to self police because they were abandoned by their own in the south — i’m not for a second condoning what’s going on today — it’s no different to drug dealers in Dublin/Limerick/Cork - i.e socio-economic — the same reasons why far right is on the march in central/eastern Europe.

Northern Ireland was and still is part of the United Kingdom. Are the barstool Republicans saying that Eire should have intervened militarily? Maybe they should have a read of the 1937 Constitution and in particular the provisions on neutrality.

Operation Armageddon would have led to a much worse outcome, many more deaths and destructions, would have failed and so it was pulled. They were also dealing with Republicans who viewed them as an illegitimate government.

Northern Ireland was British and a majority of its residents wanted to remain that way so what intervention could be made beyond usual diplomacy.

Speculation.

The facts say the Southern Government did nothing, they left a persecuted minority in a sectarian state to fend for themselves against state backed military forces and then the Southern Government have the nerve to pontificate about moral superiority.

If you fail to see the great irony there then you should consider a brain transplant.

The same lads blame Liverpool fans for causing Hillsborough tragedy.

Speculation. How do you know what was done?

There is no such thing as the Southern Government on this island. Fact.

Not speculation. The Southern Government made no meaningful intervention in the Northern conflict. They sat on their hands as the British military, RUC, judicial systems and intelligence services carried out atrocity after injustice on Northern nationalists. They spent more time trying to take down the Provos when they were a consequence of their own inaction.

You’re very insecure about the blood on the Free State governments hands through their own inaction.

Speculation. Who are the Southern Government?

The government in the Southern part of partitioned Ireland.

Donegal is not in the south of Ireland. Fact.

You haven’t a clue about the geography of Ireland, you fool.

Hard to plan a military campaign given they must not teach geography in the hedge schools.

No wonder the IRA were defeated.

Imagine expecting a bunch of Fanta Pants like you to do the right thing and intervene.

Just as well we didn’t have a halfwit like you in charge otherwise we’d be bombing villages in Donegal.

The Government of the free state is not in Donegal.

What is the government of the Free State? No such government exists.

Maybe not in your blinkered mind, then again facts and you are like oil and water.

Speculation.

There is no Free State. Are you British Crown forces trying to delegitimise this country pre Brexit?
