Yellowbelly man come bearing gifts of blankets

Sure we had Tippo’s cheering on Galway only a week ago. The world’s gone mad.

the first defense thrown out then accepted and swallowed. Lohan would want to stand his ground here for the sake of the two lads

@Big_Dan_Campbell would I be correct in thinking one of the players named father would be at logger heads with the Fitz’s for years?

Tipp lads defending Galway. Limerick lads shouting for Clare. Cork lads on the rampage. Fellas falling out. Thousands of posts. And it’s only league and no one cares about it

In fact both players families have had clashes with the Fitz’s In the past.

Revenge served cold from Davy.

It’s a case of internet gossipers deliria passed on to the national media creating a false narrative that then goes out for fodder.

The conspiracy is too much to believe. It’s too far fetched. Nothing untoward happened here. Just nasty gossips trying to blacken others of either side just for the fun of it. All concerned should keep their mouths shut and forget about this embarrassing episode.

I think there is a case of 2 & 2 together and getting 5. I believe it is a case that the direct opponents of the Wexford players who were mentioned as contacts.

I don’t believe this to be some great Fitzgerald conspiracy and I think Wexford and Lohan all are acting in good faith but the communication has been blurry which has led to this blowing up.

Funnily enough the Wexford chairman has said he has been in touch with his Clare counterpart all week yet the Clare chairman said the first he was informed on all this was Sunday night. So something doesn’t add up. Was it Davy’s daddy who the chairman was speaking to? Same man who refuses to communicate with Brian Lohan.

I think Lohan had every right to be pissed off with the two lads being made close contacts. There is no precedence and nobody wants to own the decision how this came about. Add in an utter dysfunction county board and it has blown up

The Fitzys missed a right trick here. They could have nominated the whole Clare management team as close contacts. Davy could have rode in on a white horse and taken over the reigns for the next couple of weeks and saved Clare from possible relegation in their hour of need. Its not as if he’ll be doing anything with Wexford for a few weeks and their disease riddled squad allows the virus to rip through it.

I’m very worried about the potential ill effects of long Covid now for the Wexford squad. I still maintain that was the reason for our insipid championship displays last winter. Once Covid takes root in a nursing home or squad then you can forget about it. It’d be a travesty to have it ruin our championship ambitions for a second year in succession.

How the fook are there 129 posts on the thread?

The Wexford and Clare lads are desperate for any little bit of relevance so they manufactured a controvesy between themselves so people might give them a mention every now and then
