They are saying the parents failed to prevent it happening. I presume to deflect blame from the school and avoid law suits.
Opening a can of worms though, if proven it can be argued the school also prevented it from happening

They should be charged with something alright but manslaughter charges are scarily over the top.

According to the prosecutor the parents bought the gun for him as a Christmas present and failed to secure it, so they could be found liable as accessories. Theyâve been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

According to the state prosecutor (I think) he was caught in school doing an internet search for âammunitionâ. Parents contacted via voice & e mail but no response. The mother then texted the shooter to say something to the effect âIâm not mad at you. You have to learn not to get caughtâ !!!
If the prosecutorâs allegations are accepted by a jury, both parents will be doing serious jail time.

Didnât they buy the gun after the school had shown them drawings by darling son of him with weapons killing people and saying help me and kill them?
Donât think so, the day the school called them in was the day of the shooting I think.
