I believe @Malarkey is right in this. Are there side effects to the vaccine? Almost certainly, though itâs never going to be possible to unwind these from folk who may have had problems anyway, those who had it caused by a mitigated version of the infection, and those whoâs immune systems were reset in some way by prolonged lockdown in all its manifestations. Were the vaccines rushed through without proper testing? Undoubtedly, but needs must. Do the vaccines work? I think the evidence is that they greatly helped , though this clearly needs further assessment.
I think the lockdowns were over zealous, poorly thought through, and think the Scandinavian countries were probably correct in protecting the vulnerable and merely exercising caution for everyone else, but thatâs a hindsight decision.
