Iirc the Australian under 15 lads beat the womens senior team 7-0. I’m not sure they’d do it now. I thought the standard was good enough tbh, though I don’t watch much soccer in general. Certainly the ladies Gaelic football has improved out of sight.
I met the English goalie a few years back. She had family from Roscommon, enjoyed watching Gaelic football, and was an absolutely lovely lady.

Women’s soccer is an appalling spectacle. Dress it up whatever the woke crowd want it but it’s shit, the first touch there tonight was cat for “international standard” I’m not joking, the boys youth league in Clare is a far better standard
Terrific to see women’s association football going from strength to strength. Two fantastic goals in the final even if the winner was comedy in nature, like a goal you might see in a Tyrone v Kerry men’s All-Ireland final around 2008 or so.
The FA banned women from playing on “mens” grounds after WW2. There’s something very pure about it versus the money in the mens game.

Cora was saying that the pay in the womens AFL is now a living wage, I’d be curious to know what that is, would you be talking lower end provincial rugby contract?
I think its decent money now if you take into account its only a 4 month season. Top tier players get 71k AUD which is good for 4 months work
Very good once you are happy to put your career in Ireland on hold, or have an accommodating employer in Ireland. Fair play. Cora maintained 90% of Irish players who go out are making the approach themselves and not being poached per se.
