Thats not at all the same thing. It doesn’t say another player can’t touch it after he’s kicked it the first time.
He never said it was the same thing
not sure I follow? Goalkeeper can kick the ball as many times as he likes, so can go out the field dribbling the ball. Of course opponents can tackle him, but with some attackers dropping back deep, he can bring it out a bit and then pass it off to a team mate when the opponent marking him leaves him to pressure the keeper.
Apologies, it followed on from a discussion about the ladies not being allowed to touch it at all and it being mentioned as a loophole.
I pay a keen interest as I learn most of my rules here, the ones I don’t make up as I go along.
Correct. A goalkeeper may dribble the ball the length of the field from a kickout if they wish.
Similarly in hurling, if a goalkeeper fails to connect with a puckout, he may lift and strike the ball like a free, once he doesn’t handle it.
Assume after the keeper I initially kicks it then the attacker is free to play the ball regardless of whether it has passed the 13 or 20 metre line?
The attacker can, as long as he started 13m away, a defender cant touch it until it travels 13m and is outside the 20m line. A throw in for this foul.
as with most ladies football rules. just have to be strong in your conviction and they’ll believe you
I think the conviction bit is where I fall down. Maybe. Also a large persuasion of the ladies are from Tyrone, so normal mores may not apply.
They could have picked a better picture
I saw the pic before the caption and thought The Dow had returned to the limerick panel
Lol
I always wanted to try something similar to that in hurling but never had the balls really.
A defender can legally take the puckout and pass it to the keeper who is more than 13M away. As forwards can’t encroach past the 20M he’d have a good 5M to play with before releasing the ball. With a good goalie you could be putting the sliotar down to the edge of the far small square.
I’ve never seen it tried…
I’m fairly sure this is a ploy to ensure they won’t come under the umbrella of the GAA.
Here’s another one so
It is so fcuking stupid it beggars belief. Falling over themselves to appear caring whilst betraying their own.
It’s a fucking disgrace
Woolie has made this podcast free to air, and it’s a brilliant assessment of the shit show can of worms the LGFA have opened on themselves, as only they can
