You'd want your head examined or have daughters like Hopper McGrath, to manage a Ladies team thread

Ah it was really great, still buzzing.
Paulstown - Barrow Rangers were relegated from senior, they lost to The Rower

Mulldoon women are essential for all that the GAA stands for. I was at a match once where two sisters had sons playing on opposing teams. There was an edge to the game and even though the cousins were nowhere near each other for the match, tensions were rising between the sisters, who were not beside each other but close enough that they could hear each other. Fortunately all ended on amicable terms as the mother of the victorious team roared ‘how’d ya like that yacuncha’ at the losing sister.

Mungret stepped in and sorted it out for them (while getting home venue).

Fair play to Mungret for facilitating, but it really shows the constant and utter dysfunction of these women’s organisations when the onus for orderly fixtures is thrown back on a competing club.

Yes, the ‘already ratified fixture’ bit doesn’t indicate much hope for any lesson being learned either.

They’ve done the bare minimum there

  1. They get to be the second game so the Abbeydorney team will be wrecked
  2. One of the other games is on at 2pm in Moneygall, they’ll be doing well to make the second half
  3. They have taken home advantage

They are pulling the piss really
