Anyone who has watched much of any Ladies football in the last few years would have noticed Vicky Wall. But she must have put in massive work over winter and has been faster, stronger and fitter this year and I’m delighted for her and Meath here.

She was brilliant two years ago when Tipp beat them at intermediate. The younger girls like 14 and 6 have drove them over the edge. It’s a great story.

Didn’t Wexford have a woman who managed them to the Camogie title some years back? Stellah Sinnott. Not football I know.
Ann Downey** managed KK camogie team. She led Ballyragget men to relegation last year.
Hopefully with continued rising numbers playing the games then more women will step up but very often it’s Women who come looking for men to manage their side.
Nor can you tackle the same. You aren’t allowed two person tackles, and can only as a defender play at the ball if it’s being handpassed, or kicked, nor can you shoulder, so, in fact, there should be no arm in the tackle at all, no slapping, pulling, dragging etc.
