Gwynne was dropped from the darts coverage as they decided to bring through the new breed like Rod Studd and give more commentary duties to gimps like Wayne Mardle.
I just found out that Gwynne’s son Andrew is a Labour Party MP.

Clive Edwards can barely speak. He sounds like he has a mouthful of marbles. He was doing the round up from Villa Park yesterday.
I find the way the Sunday Sport crowd do the round up from the GAA grounds very twee and annoying. Call me old fashioned but I like it when a summariser finishes his update that he goes back to the studio and then on to the next summariser. RTE have developed this thing that’s like a fecking relay race, where the summariser continuously has to hand over to the next summariser. I feel that they just can’t be giving all of their attention to the content of the report if, in the back of their mind, they are worrying about making sure they hand over to the right person. Or as in yesterday’s case someone was doing a report and then says “We are now going over to Ennis, where there has been a goal”. Again someone must have shouted this info into his earpiece and I don’t think as a result he could have been concentrating on the core subject matter of his report.
