Tipp cunts

That’s a clamping for Runt

Ah for fucks sake Joe.

Hardly. There are better forwards for Tipp in the past 01/15 years than Corbett. Callanan is a better, more effective hurler, with as probably as many goals in less games.

Ah stop didn’t they win one in '94 when they were 12 points up with 2 minutes to go?

Ya we did.
We were winning so comfortably I left 5 minutes before the end. A wonderful day.

We all have many happy memories of that day Runt, I’m sure you cherish yours.

+1

Didn’t see him in his prime but was Conal Bonner really better than Paudie Maher? By the end of his career I’d expect Barrett to be there corner back as well and maybe Callanan could overtake Lar with a few more exceptional seasons

I take it that you are picking players I didn’t pick!!
You can take the boy out of the city…
Was close to putting Lynger in tbf but went for Titch in the end.

Great team though, even if it has 3 Village men in it

Could have went Tots as well for Rice. And Andy Comerford. 3 man midfield of Fennelly, Comerford and Lyng. Battering ram.

Half expected JP Corcoran on your team.
Do I have that name right? Is he the last Callan player to play for KK seniors or am I forgetting someone?

Conal was probably steadier but I suppose - as with most of my selections - I’m basing it on a full career. Paudie by his end may well surpass him. I fully agree re Barrett and 14 was a toss up between Lar, Seamie and a player completely different to the two but still effective - Cormac Bonnar. If you ask me in 2/3 years time, I’d be hoping some of the current crop will be there

Power was the last to play senior championship from Callan. JP or Jacko was a sub in 2002. Would have been u21 with Shefflin and Hickey in '98 or '99, can’t remember which one. Would know Jacko very well, has some good stories too. Fine hurler. Played soccer with the local club at one stage, didn’t go down well with your clubman. What was the name of the player who did the same around 2002, Grehan? Centre forward - dropped for playing soccer…

I’d be looking for a spot for Eugene Cloonan, possibly in place of Broderick or Hopper. Hard to leave the likes of Steve Mahon, Pat Malone and Lynskey out too. Overall though, that’s a solid team with some serious firepower up front.

No ball, just a load of raw meat fucked into em in a cage… i’ve a few hurlers in there in case a game broke out.

  12. Ger Hegarty
  13. Barry Foley
  14. TJ. Ryan
  15. Seanie O’Connor.

Yeah Grehan. He looked a decent prospect too.

Tough calls alright, I had Steve Mahon in originally as I was a huge fan of his style, but Coleman was too hard to ignore. John Connolly was majestic in his prime, at a time when Galway hurling was generally poor. Cloonan to me was a FF contender mainly and couldn’t displace Joe, the frightening pace of Forde and Broderick gave them the nod over him at corner forward. Hopper doesn’t get the credit he deserves, tough as nails and always performed on the big day. Sean Silke another that was hard to leave out.

You left out the best brawler of them all mate Sean O’Connor.
