No idea. I’ve never used Youtube Music.
I have the YouTube vanced version. No ads and embedded videos. Probably won’t get around to the Indian subscription
Not directly. But you can just pair your phone and use it as a Bluetooth speaker.
Brought Kids to playground this evening and they spot some YouTube kid celebs playing beside us.
Turns out the 2 youtubers have 1.5 million subscribers and upload a video once a week and it gets about 150k views within the week.
Mad stuff.
Who are they?
2 young girls (10 and 14) who record videos playing with toys etc.
Slave labour that is and should be banned. Parents monitizing their kids.
Oh sorry, I read your original post wrong…
They’re really from Ennistymon shur not Galway
Could easily have hurled with the Bridge
I presume YouTube know this is going on and are happy for the tech savy to be paying them a few bob rather than chasing it down? Can’t understand why they wouldn’t have it figured out in a few minutes otherwise
Certainly an element of that. It’s not worth it for them to switch off revenue. A large portion of the people who pay money this way will use vanced or some other workaround otherwise so they may as well take money from those who want to pay it but are going to take a little time to pay less.
The other side of it is that it’s just a feature of global digital platforms. You can do something similar with Netflix but their card billing stuff is more complicated so it’s not worth the hassle (for me). And you can subscribe to DAZN and HBO Mexico and lots of other services too and there are more and more price arbitrage opportunities arising.
Do you have to use a VPN each time you login to youtube afterwards? If not then they definitely aren’t even trying
No need for VPN.
Amazon Prime can be subscribed to using a Mexican IP address for 2 euros a month. I’m not sure how that syncs with the free deliveries, however
Would you not get different movies on Amazon Prime with a foreign address?
Only for subscribing. But that’s the case with all these platforms. Netflix works when you travel and the content changes with it. Once you have your subscription you can use it anywhere.
They seem to have closed this loop hole @rocko? Any way round it? Went to renew and it said ‘you need to be in the country you selected in Google play settings to make this purchase’
Could try setting up a new one. Argentina is an alternative to India. Also about €3
Doubt it would work biff sure would be the same problem. Fuck it anyway id got used to the no ads etc
You been paying monthly or in advance? I’m monthly via Argentina and revolute. About 1.70 I think wonder will I be cut in a few weeks
