How many midfield ‘saviours’ has the ROI had since the retirement of Keane? i’d prefer the kid be given a chance to find his feet personally.

Great white hopes of Central Midfield in the last 10 years

Colin Healy
Liam Miller
Steven Ireland

feel free to add to the list

Darren Potter

Richie Partridge deserves a mention even if he wasnt a central midfielder. Now playing part time in Wales.

wahey people. Didnt think Clark was all that much today generally. tidy on the ball and won a few tackles but was part of a midfield totally overrun. The Scottish Xavi next to him would have been better off with a bucket and spade in the midfield. Completely lost. Clark lacks a little in mobility alright but would have him way ahead of Whelan, Green etc anyway. Villa were horrific today. Stephen Warnock is worse than Nickey Shorey. 8m for that useless heap of shite down injured every five minutes. Pires  , Carew  . Ireland was actually ok for a change when he came on but he would win a ball in a day trip to Butlins.

Must say that was the best Ive seen Arshavin play for Arsenal in a long time. He ran rings around Luke Young. Nasri was quality too but Arsenal cant win a header in their own box.

I don’t get that Butlins reference?

I think it’s a clumsy construction of a poor joke suggesting that Ireland doesn’t win much ball in midfield and it appears that the only time he might win a ball would be on a trip to Butlins.

Stephen McPhail

Why would you be winning a ‘ball’ on a trip to Butlins though? In some amusement arcade game or something at the popular holiday venue?

I’m guessing something like that Bandage. That’s my interpretation of it anyway but the poor syntax disguises the poster’s original intentions so perhaps something more profound was intended.

Here are the Clark goals anyway:

No love for the 7.1 trashing of Blackburn on here. What a shock. Time for the Berbatop name to return under the avatar me thinks. He nearly doubled his tally of 6 goals for the season today. Berbatov was always a class act in my eyes. United top of the league and starting to find some form.

 Fergie is well on course to knock Liverpool off their fucking perch this season.

What a day, Fantasy and bets went out the window, carnage.

A win next week away to Blackpool would set up United nicely for the games against Arsenal and Chelsea. I see Citeh lost a goal late on at Stoke.

Fc United still in the Fa cup after a great away draw at league 1 leaders Brighton. At least they get into the draw for the 3rd round to potentially play Man United.

They’ll have to win three European Cups this season then to do that.

Domestically Braz meant I would presume. Europe will be tied in a couple of years anyway. United are unbeaten since the start of April. Thats some run to have going.

Shan never struck me as the brightest of boys

Nothing I said was incorrect. I said it would be tied in 2 years. Dont get how its hilarious.

do you honestly believe that United will win back to back champion’s league shan???
