He still ensures us all that he knows what he’s on about which I find incredible. Just saw his last post as well and he is still at it.

Kev’s right here. You need to build from the back and Houllier left Hyppia and Carragher (in his prime), whereas Benitez left a washed up Carragher and a few inconsistent alternatives as partner like Skrtel and Agger. It’s no coincidence that Hodgson has taken a while to get them properly organised and he’s built the midfield in such a way that they protect the obvious defensive weaknesses.
You see farmer, you wouldn’t look like such a moron if you just said you thought Benitez’s team was slightly better, either side of the argument is somewhat arguable. But because i differed you have grown stronger and stronger in the opposite direction.
You finding it incredible is very strange. I looked at it when i got a minute, and didn’t find it incredible what he said at all, in fact i agreed. The League position backs me.
And ffs, if Bandage agrees then i know i absolutely have to be right.
I’d say Hodgson would die for an Hamann, Finnian, Hyppia. Puke changed the posts slightly with going with “starting 11”, when the initial comment was on squad. Gerrard was just coming to the top of his game, he’s a good bit down the other side of it now. Now not sure if thats his own fault or a managers. But hge is the one guy i felt lost faith a long time ago in Rafa.
Kev has presented some very persuasive evidence. Kevidence as I call it. I’m with Kev on this one.
Kev is right alright

Was it for this…
Ah triffic stuff going on in here of late
Pardew is due to be confirmed Newcastle manager in next 24 hours. The very same man who left Carlitos Tevez and Javier Mascherano on the bench as West Ham teetered on the brink of relegation. A wonderful match, I look forward to them going to pieces.
Was Tevez not the main reason they stayed up? Actually I think Curbishley was in charge then, Pardew had gone earlier in the season. Pretty harshly too if I recall, given they had finished about 7th the previous season and reached the FA Cup final which they were unlucky not to win.
Anyway, I’m not disputing that it is a truly ridiculous move by Newcastle.
Aye, Carlitos kept them up, but Pardew marginalised both Argies until his departure, at which point Carlitos was cut loose by Curbishly and secured their survival.
Pardew has had a stellar time of late with Charlton and Southampton…
What could possibly be the reason for it? It beggars belief. If they had appointed O’Neill or even Jol you could kind of undertsand letting Hughton go.
But Pardew?
Heard on the radio that Ashley and Pardew built up a relationship at a London Casino!!!
In this case i really do feel sorry for Newcastle fans, they were sold the pup of pups. I’m not really going looking at their forums etc, but from the bits of media i have read/seen the Toon fans are well pissed off with this carry on.
Exactly, its bringing back a failed manager for a manager clearly growing into the role. The more i think about it the more its so obvious whats going to happen here. Relegation next year for Toon, maybe even this year. Newcastle are at 6.0 to go down this year, not as good as i thought it might be.
Andy Carroll to go at least during the summer?
Farmer, you’d imagine someone like Jol or MON wouldnt touch somewhere like Newcastle or someone like Ashley at this point in time. Little to gain bar money in that job at present. From read Miguel Delaneys piece in the Trib on Sunday you get the impression team spirit was vital at Newcastle, the whole house of cards could come tumbling down now, which is quite sad as I liked how people like Barton were finally coming good.
I was thinking recently that Newcastle haven’t a bad side, and looked well set up.
Kruhl is a very good keeper I think. Taylor is a decent centre half for mid table EPL. I have been impressed with Jose Enrique most times I saw him this season. I have been very impressed with Tiote in the centre of the park this season (he was plucked out of France by Hughton) and obviously Carroll up top. I don’t rate him as highly as others but he is undoubtedly effective. Throw in Campbell, Nolan, Barton, Gutierrez and Ameobi and you have a side well capable of a top 10 finish.
taylor and campbell aren’t even first choice farmer. Williamson and some other lad are but they’ve been suspended recently i think. The situation is bizarre but no more than ashley deserves.
Coloccini was the other first choice centre back with Williamson - they both got banned for incidents in the defeat at Bolton. As MBB said, not a chance O’Neill would have considered going there under Ashley - he’s a control freak and it’s one of the reasons that he left Villa. He wouldn’t even countenance working under a fool like your man at Newcastle.
They’ve only gone and given Pardew a contract til 2016!

Pardew must be riding Mike Ashley or else he has some serious dirt on him.
Alan Pardew picked Marlon Harewood over Carlitos Tevez.
Repeatedly.
Fact.
On another note, do Newcastle time managers contracts in dog years?
