Agreed. Super finish from Luiz but Evra in fairness pointed at him and gave Nani the shout but he still wasn’t arsed taking a few steps backwards. Thought Evra was slow to the block initially but he was undone by a great strike and he probably had to tuck in on the initial cross and could rightly assume Nani would be doing his job out wider.
Chelsea paid €22 million for Ramires. I have yet to see him play well in any match.
Zhirkov on now.
He cost £18 million.
Chelsea much better in 2nd half. Utd not passing well. Nani drifting inside too much. Luiz looks like some player, touch of nastiness there too.
Essien has regressed as a player this season I feel.
Maybe it’s all the injuries he’s had.

Was just thinking that. Seems to tick nearly all the boxes. Quick, aggressive, skillful, intelligent and so on.
John O’Shea the fool!
Ah wonderful.
Frank Lampard has just put me in a great form.

He’s still passing it well tonight and is strong on the ball but he’s not moving it around as quickly as he used to I don’t think.
He was burned for pace by Rooney there when he missed the far post with the clip over Cech.
More like his limitations have been shown up this season. No goal threat, no tempo to his passing, no range of passing etc. A great athlete and competitor in midfield but was always overrated I felt. Think I made that point before
Unlike the class act that is Nigel De Jong.
Drogba making idiots of these United goons, what a legend
And Rooney getting his comupance tonight.
Arsenal will fuck it away as usual anyway
But De Jong is such a wonderful long passer and a real 20 goal a season guy.
Very disappointing 2nd half from Utd, lost their shape and let the tempo drop. Dodgy enough penalty but well taken. Have to go to Anfield and win now. No Vidic either, Utds limitations beginning to be exposed.
Manchester United will be sore about that. David Luiz should have been sent off at 1-1. Chelsea got a real stranglehold on the game though as it progressed. Probably coinciding with Scholes tiring and then going off along with the positive impact of Zhirkov and Drogba when they were introduced. Ramires was decent enough tonight, I thought. I think Manchester United really need to sign an all round high quality midfield player.
Edit: braz has learned a harsh lesson tonight with the half time Lampard comment.
I was asking for that. Still not really sure what Lampard adds anymore though, penalty taking aside.
Chelsea fairly woke up at half time. They were excellent second half, and deserved the victory. They killed United’s midfield second half, and unfortunately Scholes doesn’t have the legs to deal with that anymore. Carrick should be put down at this stage. David Luiz added the spark for them, even before his lovely finish for the goal. I’d still have a few doubts about him from a defensive view, from the penalty he gave away in the last minute at Fulham (diving in unnecessarily) and he should have got a second yellow tonight. He’s got something though.
Vidic getting himself suspended for the Liverpool game is a pain in the hole too. That’s a huge game now. Arsenal should be favourites from here, if they can keep their best players fit for the rest of the season anyway.
True. De Jong is the best holding midfielder in word football. Essien doesn’t have the tactical intelligence to play in that position. Put down Mein Kampf for a minute and check how many points City have dropped when he has been out of the side this season.
Pretty gracious there braz. Doubt Fergie will be the same.
Arsenal picking up injuries to key players at the moment though. I can’t see them winning all their games between now and the end of the season.
