Carragher should definitely have been sent off. Manchester United’s midfield is seriously lacking for a club of that stature. It’ll be interesting to see if Nani’s injury keeps him out for a while - he would be a big miss given Rooney’s inconsistency and the fact that his assists and goals from wide areas are making up for the lack of contribution from the centre of midfield. Liverpool were well deserving winners and Suarez was impressive again.

Uniteds midfield is in need of an overhaul alright. They cant replace Giggs and Scholes who again were 2 of the better perfomers today. Carrick is a waste of space.
