2010 Summer Transfer Window

I was unclear in my wording though. Sincere apologies.

From BBC - Manchester United have signed striker Bebe from Vitoria Guimaraes for an £7m subject to a medical. The 20-year-old Portuguese frontman has dreadlocks and once played in the Homeless World Cup.

The Man Utd website apparently had a profile of Mesut Ozil in their first team profile section today.

Yeah, he was abandoned as a Bebe.

United really need to get in a midfielder. A new striker that will be 5th/6th choice is a daft move.

I see they’re letting Wellbeck and Diouf (?) go out on loan.

So what’s the pecking order of what would remain?

Rooney
Berbatov
Owen
Hernandez
???

Whatever happened to Marcheda?

Thought he was coming through the season before last?

That happened before with Benzema I think. The IT boys at Old Trafford indulging in some wishful thinking.

Would love to see him coming but not looking as likely as the English papers are saying.

Macheda is still there, needs to learn to stay out of nightclubs and casinos if he wants to get anywhere.

He scored a few poxy goals with his arse and he was being hailed as the second coming. If he isn’t making regular appearances this season he may as well forget about it.

Kiko Macheda and Bebe in whatever order you want. Id rather Macheda go out on loan. He wont get many games that far down the order. Mame Diouf will never play a game for United again. Hes hopeless. Welbeck is tearing it up in 2014 in my current Fm game. Lets hope this happens in real life.

Had a bad season last year with injuries. He did score against Chelsea in the league when Drogba scored that offisde goal that cost United the league in the end.

Wouldn’t Ferguson be far better off adding a decent centre midfielder rather than dicking around buying another no mark strikerwho won’t make it there…I remember a few United fans I know creaming themselves when they signed that nobody Manucho, he was a roaring success alright

The first question is how many will play in each game. Most big games last season saw Rooney up the centre on his own, flanked by two of Valencia/Nani/Park. In that context, signing another striker seems particularly strange, though I know absolutely nothing about him and perhaps he would also be comfortable out wide. Another possibility is that he is being signed for the future and will be immediately sent on loan.

Ferguson loves buying strikers, its the one area of youth development that has never really produced a decent result. Fergie doesn’t always buy wisely either. Manucho was crap, Diouf another waste of money, Berbatov not living up to expectation(yet-hopefully).

If this Bebe is 20 then he doesn’t need to be included in the 25 man squad named for the permier league.

Manucho scored a 40 yard screamer in the African Nations the year he was was signed so he was built up in the fans minds alright…

When you mention strikers that Fergie signed then Dong has to be worst ever. He was on Uniteds book for like 4 years. He played in Uniteds pre season tour of Asia and South Africa at least twice I think and then was farmed out to Uniteds feeder club in Belgium for a few years so he could get a work permit. When he finally came to Manchester United he played in the reserves and his only start for the first team was against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge when United had already won the league. http://www.thefreekick.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

Marlon Harewood has joined Blackpool

Blackpool are building a team for League 1 in a couple of years I see.

Not sure if this has been reported here yet?

Midfielder Christian Poulsen has joined Liverpool from Juventus for an initial fee of £4.5million, according to the Italian club.

A statement on the Juve website read: "Juventus Football Club can announce that it has completed the agreement with Liverpool FC for the outright transfer of Christian Poulsen for a fee of 5.475million euros (£4.5m) payable in two instalments
“The fee will further increase by up to 1.2million euros depending on his achievements during the contract period.”
