2011 BDO World Darts Championship

Jesus this Winstanley lad is a shite counter.

He hit the bull a while back there to leave 11!

Philips made a balls of the count in his match earlier also.

Winstanley has won three set deciding legs to lead 3-1. Dekker has shown incredible resolve so far in the tournament so I certainly wouldn’t count him out.

Wolfie was Wolfie earlier. Never panics when things aren’t going right and always retains the belief that his talent will come to the fore eventually. He’s got an amazing mentality and is on the verge of history.

Lovely darts.

That’s basic stuff.

That’s the Lakeside stage for you, Farmer.

It’ll be interesting to see does Garry Thompson retain the Yorkshire captaincy - Winstanley must be pushing hard for it at this stage and of course there’s also Scott Waites there.

I think at the end of the day Thommo will probably retain it as Winstanley is a busy man at the best of times. 29 year old Deano has five kids to take care of, the oldest of whom is 16. I think they go to the pub together on Friday nights occasionally.

3-2 at the break and you’d be very foolish to count Dekker out of this.

Seriously, this is the worst standard I have seen in the Lakeside in years.

This is the semi final. Awful stuff.

no bandage, thats bdo darts for you

No, it’s the Lakeside stage.

Great little feature with Martin Fitzmaurice here. Fantastic memories.

Ah this is sensational. May Martin continue for many, many more years to come.

I missed a bit of it, what did he mean by I owe Bobby everything, for years he fed my kids? What was that about Sid?

The fact that Tony Green isn’t at Lakeside for the first time in the tournament’s history makes real darts people appreciate Martin’s continued presence all the more.

Martin was asked who his favourite player through the years was. I think the comment was just a general nod in Bobby’s direction - being Darts’s biggest character, he was an important part of building up the popularity of the game in its formative years. But obviously he could just as easily have said that about Olly Croft. But a lot of people owe an awful lot to Martin too. He’s too modest to admit that.

I think Martin worked on the exhibition circuit with Bobby too. He would referee matches, act as MC and they’d take part in Q+A sessions with fans and all that lark. They must have travelled thousands of miles together. Two great men.

I can’t understand how lads throw darts with rings and jewelery on their wrists, that would drive me nuts.

Winstanley is unbelievable on tops. Unbelievable.

Deano’s on the brink here…

i like to see averages. dekker is definitely less than 90 while winstanley maybe also
