Smashing camaraderie between the players at the end, like in all of the games.
Dynamite Deano. It’s going to be a great final.
What a reception for the exiting Jan Dekker.
The exiting and exciting Jan Dekker.
I’m really torn ahead of the final now.
Martin Adams has been a favourite of mine for nearly two decades but Deano is an incredibly likeable character and I love that story about his tricolour.
He’s in tears here in the interview.
Fantastic stuff. I’m very emotional myself here.
As Wolfie says, what will be will be. Winstanley against the Wolf. I think Darts will be the winner.
Is Winstanley making his debut at the tournament?
Martin Fitzmaurice: Worse than Stalin.
Deano with his pub team - Lord Conyers. He still plays with them in the Yorkshire Super League.

Real people, real darts.
Another incredible fairytale Lakeside story.
Latest betting from Paddy
Martin Adams 4/9 Dean Winstanley 7/4
It’s nearly time for the biggest match in darts - the World Championship Final. I’m immensely looking forward to this showpiece occasion and it promises to be a magnificent tussle. It’s such a fascinating match up what with Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams, a legend of the game, looking for his third world title that would book his place in darting folklore. And then there’s the fairytale story of Dean ‘Over The Top’ Winstanley and his fantastic march to the final. It’s been an incredible Lakeside debut for the Yorkshire man and his emotion was clear for all to see in his post semi-final interview. That said, he’s here on merit having won 3 ranking tournaments in 2010 and he’s yet again displayed excellent darts all week. The final calls for a prediction but I’m finding it impossible to split them; however, I do know that darts will be the winner irrespective of who emerges victorious and the Lakeside crowd will back both players in a knowledgeable and respectful manner, as always.
Yeah with both players in sparkling form heading into the final it should be of the highest quality. Adams managed an outstanding 90.90 3 dart average and Winstonaantastanley an outrageously high 89.91 in their semi final matches. Should be one for the ages alright. It will be interesting to see if Adams can become a three time Amatuer World Champion though.

Did you have a momentary black out while typing that Flano?
Nah, that’s what we call him down in Darttown. “Oi oi, Winstonaantastanley. How do chap?” is what we say when he pops by.
Here we go. This is match darts. It’s about winning, not averages. There’s also the conditions and venue to take into consideration. Put BDO players on stage at the same venue as the other crowd and they’ll revel in it, as we saw when Scotty Waites clinched the GSOD. This is it now. I’m nervous myself. I can only imagine what the players are feeling now.
Is Winstanley worth a bet at 7/4?
Steve Palmer had a right pop at Colin Murray in today’s Racing Post.
Would regular viewers agree ??
yes. he does’nt look the nervous type and as bandage has alluded to he is lethal at double tops. adams is a bottler.
I wouldn’t agree, dancingbaby.
One of the greatest sights in sports entertainment; Martin Adams coming on stage.
