Tevez will be a big loss to City but he is a poisionous player to have in the dressing room so was always likely.
He was key to their attacking setup though so not sure how Mancini is going to work it with the leaden footed Dzeko or the crazed Balotelli. Still a super spine there with Hart, Kompany, De Jong and Silva but still a few bits to sort out. Clichy is a decent signing actually I reckon. Experienced EPL performer in need of a move. Richards seemed to have improved last season. I didnt think Yaya Toure was all that last season better as an attacking midfielder than when he played deeper. Still need a centre half anyway and get rid of either Lescott or Kolo Toure both pretty average players.
They signed a deal with Joorabchian where he basically owned the players and they used them. Odd one. Not sure how it has all ended up but I presume it’s something similar this time with Corinthians getting the player’s registration but I’d guess someone else will “own” him.
I reckon that will have been a part of the negotiations. City will obviously not want him just sitting with Corinthians for a few months and heading to a rival so I’d say there’s a financial penalty involved if that does happen. Still imagine it will pan out like that anyway.
That struck me too. He’s 35 and has had a couple of serious enough shoulder problems in recent years so 5 years is 2 or 3 more than I thought he’d get.
