The Dutch made hard work of their 3-2 win over Japan in the women’s hockey. The lovely Ellen Hoog netted her 35th goal for her country with a superb reverse stick effort, and at 3-0 the Dutch had the wind in their mills but Hoog’s dirty play in the second half earned her a yellow card which let the Japanese nip back into the match. Nevertheless the reigning Olympic champions maintain their 100% record.
