2013 Lakeside World Darts Championships

Jason Cullen looks exactly as i would picture Bandage to look.

He sounds the same anyway

He is an absolute roaster this fella.

It must have been amazing for those Irish supporters to be there when Jason Cullen opened up the Lakeside 2013 with a win. Something to tell the grandchildren about when the time comes.

Only three matches in and this tournament has had everything. The scoring’s been so heavy, they broke the machine.

Richie Rich coming up next.

Broke the machine with 90 averages? :strokechin:

Richie Rich  ffs. He better be able to throw wearing a jersey like that.

Cmon the badger

Richie’s mum Marie is throwing every dart with him but the Lakeside stage is eating him up here.

Richie’s certainly not out of this yet if he can get his average to inch up from its current 75.

And Richie takes three legs in succession to win the second set 3-2 and we’re now tied up at 1-1.

A slow-burning but riveting Lakeside contest.

Balls of steel from the Boy George there.

Busting his score but then coming back to take out 62.

It’s great seeing the pictures of Bobby and Marie living every dart their son throws. They’re going through the inner turmoil that seeing your son on that famous Lakeside stage for the first time gives to you. Real people, real darts.

That’s the first time I’ve seen Marie on the telly for many years as Bobby hasn’t competed at Lakeside himself since 2000 - she was an absolute cracker in her day.

Dave Prins one leg away now.

I think one of the lads from the TV series “Auf Wiedersehen, Pet” is in the crowd shouting on Dave Prins.

Hawaaaaeeeey, Davie, son.

It’s 2-2 in sets!

This is absolutely thrilling. Poor old Bobby looks like he’s about to have a banger.

Wow!

Dave misses 4 darts for the match before Richie takes the last 2 legs to draw level at 2 sets apiece.

A very tense affair.

What drama as the pressure of the Lakeside stage gets to the young Dutch referee!

No miscounting there as Dave takes the leg. He’s got the advantage in this final set.

What a time to miscount!

Does anybody else think that Richie took out 80 instead of 70 because he read the scoreboard incorrectly? It was Prins who required 80.

Ah, the Lakeside stage.

amazing how attractive the BDO WAGs are compared to the skangers the PDC lads have to put up with
