High drama as the Dazzler moves one set away from victory.
Fitton is winning this. It will be some comeback from Bunting to win from here.
Crucial break for the Dazzler! He’s putting all that experience into play now. If he can hold his throw twice he’s there!
Darryl’s on fire. 100+ check outs, 11-dart legs and he’s 3 sets to 2 up.
Hes on fire now
Senseational pressure darts from Darryl! 11 and 14 darts and he’s 2-0 up!
Clinical finishing from Fitton.
The great thing about the BDO is the friendship among players. Darryl was supporting his protege Jimi Hendix on Sunday and now Jimi is back to return the favour. Similarly Anastasia Dobromyslova with the Bullet.- they live not far from each other in Merseyside.
Bunting collapsed after set 4 :o .
Fitton , exceptional finishing to win.
Stick to the Sevco darts pal.
The victory is the Dazzler’s!
But great dignity and camaraderie from Stephen as he sees his dream taken away from him.
In truth, both players are winners.
Great game,beautiful darts from fitton
The Munch making a fool of himself  What a PDC cunt
Fine contest. Very pleased fr Daryl Fitton who has never shown his best form at the Lakeside.
Its a very open world championship but Scott Waites will be happy with all aaround him dropping like flies.
Agreed Piles, it looks set for him now. His doubles are still a little suspect though but his scoring should keep him well ahead in games.
Stephen Bunting is not the first top seed to wilt in the fiery Lakeside furnace. Maybe that’s harsh because he averaged 96, had a 167 finish and lost nothing in defeat.
13 180s in the 6 sets - that’s 1 less than the finalists managed in a best of 13 set Phil’s Darts Club final.
Easy from the cheap seats, lads. I hold my hands up, i got that wrong. I don’t know enough about pub darts, know more about the professional game.
Surprisingly it was actually the Munch who made a good point above when he said that Darryl was winning that match - it was very much a case of him winning it rather than Stephen losing it.

Lewis and Van Gerwen hit 26 between them in the PDC quarter final mate! Scott Waites at 10/3 in a nice antepost bet to have now.
Grizzly adams all done up in a cheap suit tonight. Is he on the prowl for middle aged women in the bar? Maybe he’ll howl at them.
