2013 Senior Hurling Championship

Fair play to Dublin, going by what anyone I talked to has said, they were the better team on both days and thoroughly deserved to progress.
Great championship so far, good to see it back to such a competitive level.

And so our slow death seems to have begun. Very hard to see us beating chipp next week with the injuries and general poor form on show. I don’t actually mind losing to Dublin all that much and hope they win Leinster, but the thoughts of being knocked out at home by them cunts really sickens me. I’m praying for one immense performance, a dying kick, next week and after that whatever will be, will be.

That said, if we somehow manage to beat chipp and get everyone back fit again, we could well go all the way.

Then again, maybe the annual referees stipend hasn’t been processed yet.
God bless those refs, sure without them we’d have won nothing.
If that gets sorted, we’ll be alright.

Should be a great contest next weekend. Would be a huge win for Tipp to go to Nowlan Park and beat Kilkenny there, regardless of Kilkenny’s injuries.

Are tickets on sale yet for Nowlan Pk next Sat?

Not sure where the appropriate thread to post this was, but John Mullane’s column in the independent (in stark contrast to Lar’s former ramblings) is excellent. Well done Mullane

I would be very surprised if they were Mullane’s own words

I imagine there’s some editing but doesn’t really matter. He can come up with enough coherent thoughts to form a decent article as compared to the rubbish out of Lar. Out of interest, do you reckon Dara O’Sé’s article is his own words?

I’ve never read it. Does he write about hurling?

Fagan ODowd, your negative ratings will not faze me, you should’ve taken my advice and put your money on Dublin at the weekend.

No. Times, football, very good read I think.

I reckon they are. Nothing too flowery and relies mainly on personal experience and anecdotes. Even if it was told to some jobsworth of a writer I don’t think much’d be changed.

Agree, I think Mullane’s is more or less the same.

Clare will beat Waterford in the AI final. You heard it here first.

Here’s how it will pan out.

Laois put up a gallant effort against Clare, leading with 10min to go, before Clare pull away.
KK will, in what will be the last roar of a dying beast, will crush Tipp.

Then Clare will beat Wexicans by a cricket score. Waterford, waiting in the long grass, will then take a then take the Cats, who finally run out of petrol.

Limerick will squeeze the MF, and TFK will be unfckingreadable for the better part of a month as the cunts won’t shut up about it.
Dublin take their first Leinster in 50 odd years as the maroon and white chokers do what they do best, and choke. Pundits will wax polemic for weeks on the arrival of hurling in the capital and how this is the greatest day ever for hurling.

Waterford, waiting in the long grass, beat Cork in a cracker of a game.
Galway have a massive collapse against Clare.
Waterford, waiting in the long grass, beat the Dubs, who shit themselves, in first SF.
Clare, who don’t fear 2nd tier counties, put some manners in the the green and white upstarts and rightful order is resumed.

In the final, the Blaas finally run out of long grass and the Saffron and Blue win handily enough in the end to mark the beginning of a new dynasty.

Seems straightforward enough to me.

Fucking hell and I thought Limerick fans were delusional

Lar’s column last year was supposedly written by Tipp Journalist, J Cahill.

I would be surprised if Mullane’s column was not the same.

Why would Mullane have J Cahill ghost writing his articles? Come on Harry lad, pull your head out of your arse please.

You are overdue a puck in the windy pipe. Stop being so awkward please.

Plus one. About time someone pulled him up on his bluffing

Mullane’s articles are good to be fair. He seems to always have great faith in Tipp for some reason. Might be because of how many times waterford have lost to them in the last few years.

Sentance? Oh the fucking illiterate irony
