i´d say you´ll get about 40k …
Dubs fans might pack out the Hill on the cheaper tickets??
Hopefully it’ll reach that. Galway might bring a bigger crowd than Kilkenny would have and Laois should bring a good few for the minor match. Kilkenny v Dublin was the minor match as well in 2011.
Is the Munster final expected to sell-out or at least go close to it? I’m half thinking of giving Dublin v Meath a miss and going down to the hurling instead that day.

Gaelic Grounds has a big capacity - think is is 52k. You d expect a massive Limerick crowd. When did they last have a home Munster hurling final?? Crowd of 41,3o3 I predict
That’s if all of it is open
Just bought my tickets for Nowlan Park on gaa.tickets.ie . Great website. 20 quid each and delivery to the house for 1 euro.
Tipp have everything in their favour, bar the venue. Surprised that Paddy power have KK as favourites. Still hoping against hope that Kilkenny will have a final kick in them.
Huge game for Tipp. If they win it they would be favourites to win All Ireland. They’d kill off their great nemesis. If they lose they have nowhere to go.
What time is throw in at Nowlan Pk Saturday?
11am. It would have been far too dangerous from a security point of view to have hordes of Kilkenny and Tipp yahoos standing around drinking all day waiting for a 7pm throw-in.
Capacity is apparently 49k, although I’ve heard it’s been reduced a bit after the flood lights were installed for the International Rules. Clubs were told they mightn’t get their allocations, so a sell-out is a on the cards.
Most clubs didn’t get their full allocations, supervalu sold out there allocation of stand tickets last week, I heard of one club looking for 300 terraces tickets. I think it’s well on the way to a sell out alright. Think the capacity is 46,900 since the floodlights were installed.
great to see such interest in Limerick Runt.
What part of the ground will you be in, pal?
I better get tickets for this soon.
Don’t think just because Tipp aren’t playing that CM won’t bust your head.
Reduced to 45 I think.
Tickets are scarce by all accounts. I doubt it will sell out but won’t be far off either I’d say.
Heard something similar. Capacity is around 44,500 or something like that. The 2008 final had around 48k at it
As an aside the Munster Hurling Championship this year has been like a stimulus package for Limerick City

Surely Munster Rugby yearly brings in multiples of what the Munster Hurling Championship has brought in this year?
