2014 All Ireland Under 21 Championship

It was rash from the Cork number 17 to jump in over the back of the Roscommon forward. The ball was gone over both of them, he just needed to stay on his feet and shepherd the forward out to the sideline. Did look like the defender then lifted the ball up with his knees, in fairness.

Nigel Dineen doing an Arsene Wenger - “I didn’t see it.”

Very enjoyable game, great comeback from Cork but the better team won.

One half of the dream final complete, hon Cavan now

He did Kev, should have got the line

It had to be for a percieved push. He was mad for the advantage all day, but he doesn’t seem to have the same understanding of tht rule as I do.

Whatever way you look at it, Cork played way below par, Rosscommon have some brilliant players and wanted it more.

Cavan are bad for football.

Just looked back at it again. The ref clearly motioned that it was for a pick up. The Cork player did appear to lift the ball between his legs, and while that’s a free under the rules, it’s a stupid rule.

The free in the middle of the field was a joke. A Cork player was penalised, presumably for kicking he ball as a Roscommon player was lifting it, but the Roscommon player had barely started to bend his back to go down for the ball so the ball was still free to hit for the Cork player.

MacEoin clearly stole at least three yards with his free though and the ref didn’t pull him up on it. Should have been retaken.

Edited !!!

I’m told that this is the first time a Dublin team has worn a change of colours in a competitive match since the 1960 National Football League semi-final against Cavan.

The Cork fellas were at that a lot today from my viewing, a lot of dirty pulls as a Roscommon player was in the act of picking the ball from the ground. a nasty trait for a team to have.

Cavan 0-04 Dublin 0-01. 13:43 played.

Dublin in trouble here.

Cavan play much better football at 21’s.

Very soft free-in to the Dubs there.

I think it was given for a pull on the jersey of Conor McHugh when he initially got the ball rather than the clearly fair dispossession when he had made his way closer to goal.

Poor shooting from both sides. Michael Argue is a big unit.

Dublin have wasted a rake of chances, would fancy them to turn this around in the second half.

That ginger fella with the shit hairstyle needs a clipping for some of those shots he’s taken.

Dublin will win this by 5 points in the second half. Cavan are a very solid unit but lack some real quality.

Some very poor shooting from Dublin in that half.

Very delicately poised at half time.

Dubs will walk this if they pull their finger out.
